Program Structure

Our year-round schedule allows children and adults to learn, retain, and improve their swim skills with little interruption. Lessons are offered on M-W, T-Th, M-W-F, or F only for those looking for one day/week. Please refer to the General Info Page, or this year's Registration Form which you may download from the Registration Page.

We teach from 9 month olds to adults, from non-swimmers to competitive levels. Since our lessons are private, they are tailored to each student's age, ability, and readiness.

Class Types

15 Minute Private

The 15-minute private lessons is our most popular lesson type. We especially recommend the 15-minute lesson for ages 9 months - 5 years, those who are afraid of water, or those who cannot swim 5 feet, face down. The maximum attention span and task focus for younger children is about 15 minutes. Because the lessons are one-on-one, much of the instruction will be learned and retained.

30 Minute Private

A student 5 years or older with a good attention span and the ability to swim 5 feet, face down, has the option to take a 30 minute private lesson. For non-swimmers we recommend a 15 minute private lesson for maximum benefit until they can comfortably swimming 5 feet, face down, and are not afraid of the water.

30 Minute Semi-Private

This is only an option if you have two students who sign up together. They must be similar in age and skill level. Otherwise, please refer to private lesson options. If students are not a good fit, they will be split into two 15 minute private lessons at the same price.

Infants and Toddlers

We offer 15 minute private lessons for infants and toddlers. Infants can begin at nine months old and up. Lessons for this age group help develop a foundation in learning basic swimming and safety skills. It is highly recommended that a parent or caretaker come in the pool during the first few lessons to observe our process and ease the transition to the instructor. Reusable swim diapers are required for all infants and toddlers. (These can be purchased at our swim school.) Please no disposable swim diapers, unless used underneath the reusable swim diapers.

It's never too late to learn how to swim or to improve your strokes. Our private or semi-private lessons allow you to progress at YOUR pace. Adults often sign up with a friend or relative to make a 30 minute semi-private class. You will appreciate our variety of depths and extremely warm water which help to relax you and make the learning easier.
