Swim Instructors (Part-Time Hours)
Come teach private swimming lessons and make a difference in the lives of many children! You will experience a great reward, watching your students’ self confidence soar while they learn this life skill. If you are a positive individual with good communication skills and an ability to motivate children, we will train you to teach swimming.
Sherman Swim School is a family business with 3 outdoor pools in sunny Lafayette. We have 90-92 degree water to maximize the comfort level of the student as well as the instructor. We also have a shade structure over the teaching pool, diving boards, a staff room, and more. We have been teaching students to swim since 1961.
Qualifications:
Experience with children required. Swim team experience a plus. Training is provided!
Hours:
Part-time/Flexible hours.
Schedules can fit your availability.
Open 3-7pm in May/June through October.

Lifeguards (Part-Time Only)
Two lifeguards will watch over birthday parties held on Saturdays. You will be responsible for the safety of approximately 20 swimmers while lifeguarding three pools, two springboards and a trampoline. You will assist with the setup and cleanup, before and after the parties.
Qualifications:
Current Lifeguard Certificate from Red Cross or Ellis.
Days/Hours:
Usually on Saturdays, for a few hours between 11am and 6pm. You may be asked if you are available to work a Sunday party on occasion.
Typically 1 or 2 parties in a day (3-5 hours), 1-3 days per month.
